Newcastle

The City We've Been Entrusted to Nurture, Strengthen & Connect

Throughout 2025 we have witnessed remarkable milestones and breakthrough moments as we have worked tirelessly alongside and in service of the Newcastle community.

Here’s a glimpse into the transformative journey we have shared within our beautiful community this past year:

  • 15,000 mental health engagements - connecting & supporting people with hope, nurture and conversation when they are experiencing the effects of DFV, crisis, depression, anxiety, hardship and going through tough times.

  • 14,000 Local student check-ins across 5 partner schools, fostering connection & wellbeing.

  • 12,000 Safe school drop-offs ensuring reliable access to education and establish life preserving routines for their futures.

  • 12,000 School breakfasts

  • 6,000 Volunteer hours generously given. We undoubtedly have the BEST contributed by 40 plus community members. Their physical support behind the wheel of a bus, packing groceries, serving food, setting up & packing down amplifies our reach in a way that cannot be adequately applauded or talked about – these people foster a culture of community connection.

  • 1,800 Crisis grocery deliveries distributed to families and individuals going through hardship - over 20 tonnes of food shared 1000 x hampers of bread distributed to local schools, homeless services, medical centres, daycares and community places where people in crisis are in need to nourish growing bodies and minds

  • 1,600 Hours of NDIS support helping community members achieve greater independence with lots of extra support and love way beyond their plans

  • 900 Mentoring sessions supporting young people’s growth and resilience

  • 800 Young people engaged in wellbeing and emotional regulation programs, gaining vital tools for resilience, self-awareness, and healthy relationships

  • 250 Case management meetings, ensuring tailored support and follow-through for vulnerable individuals

  • 160 Dental appointments for students, improving health and confidence

  • 350 Referrals made to specialist support services, ensuring holistic care for individuals facing complex challenges

  • 140 Teenage student mentoring sessions focused on leadership and positive futures

  • 120 Shine Bright sessions empowering students with social, emotional, and life skills

  • 100 Inspire Women’s sessions nurturing empowerment, self-care, and community connection

  • 50 Students awarded life-changing academic, attendance, or leadership recognitions, many overcoming significant attendance challenges through engagement with Shine Bright and Brighter Beginnings Bus Programs

  • 40 Professional development hours delivered to educators and community workers, equipping them to support trauma-informed care and student wellbeing

  • 15 Different community led programs reaching and triaging community need and positioning our community to flourish

  • 8 Placement Students for Work Placement to support their studies within Community

  • 3 Vehicles that have been generously donated travelling over 16,000kms to support clients

These numbers represent so much they are milestones of goodness poured into local community. They tell the stories of been seen, heard and listened to. They are stories of hope, resilience built, and futures reshaped and transformed for good.

Our commitment to providing trauma-informed care, relational support, and community empowerment; shines through every connection made and every life touched. We have and are continuing to reimagine community each and every day, by community led initiatives for this local area of Newcastle.

We are proud and yet ever so humbled to be able to be the hands entrusted to hold the lives that these numbers represent.
