Job Description

We are currently seeking a Casual Wellbeing Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with individuals and communities, providing support and assistance to improve their overall wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds with vulnerabilities, and a heart for community, key criteria being able to adapt to change and thinking on feet, working well with team.

Role Description

Key Responsibilities​

  • Assist with School Bus Runs, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students during their commute to and from school between the hours of 7:30-9:30am

  • Transport clients to appointments, ensuring their timely arrival and safe return home

  • Provide basic wellbeing checks, some emotional support and practical assistance to people who feel distressed and overwhelmed.

  • Being able to communicate friendliness and fun in a safe and calm manner, and create a sense of belonging in small windows of time

  • Communicate to staff areas of need

 

Preferred Criteria

  • Relevant qualifications in a related field

  • First Aid Certification

  • Experience working with children or vulnerable people

  • Experience in wellbeing or mental health work

  • A current and valid driver’s license
